Apparently, Size Does Matter!

The other day I was watching two photgraphers at work. The middle aged male was using a normal 50mm lens and the younger female was using a zoom telephoto lens. While he did clean his lens and cap it when he wasn't taking pictures, I noticed that she was constantly wiping hers with a soft cloth, polishing her fingerprints from the sides, wiping the lens, itself, using that little blower/brush tool to keep it clean.

That's when I had my epiphany!

You see, when I was younger, I thought I would someday become a great photographer, but walking around the beaches of Southern California -- asking girls to pose -- only got my face slapped. Now that I think about it, I realize it was a size thing. Oh, sure, the gals tell us that it's not the size of our equipment but how we use it. THAT'S NOT TRUE, GUYS! I produced wonderful pictures with my 35mm wide-angle and my 55mm normal lenses but I now remember that the guys who were getting all the action were sporting those telephoto lenses -- 180mm to 300mm!
